(ref. to TAB A for 3-phase line and to TAB B for 1- phase line). Ex.: I = 15A. The nearest CT is 50/5 or 50/1. With one passage of the current wire through the CT, 1/3 only of the current is used (power will be lower due to cosφ<1). With three passages through the CT the current “seen” by the CT will be: 15x3 = 45A, so that almost the whole current range is used (see fig.2). Consequently the outputs will be 3 times higher than the values available with one passage only. Ex.: I = 15A - CT 50/5 - V = 400 Vac with 3 passages through the CT, the analog output 0-10V reads out V = 7,2V, and the effective value is Vu : 3 = 2,4 V.
