TECHNICAL FEATURES

VM
Max set point. The regulation is made
by a trimmer on the front, in % of the
nominal voltage (0÷+20%).
Vm
Min set point. The regulation is made
by means of the trimmer on the front in
% of the nominal voltage (0÷-20%).
T
Timer (0,5÷31,5 sec) - The regulation
is made by means of the trimmer. It is
activated when one of the two set
points is overcome. At the end of the
set period the output relay changes
over. During the time TM the leads AM
and Am are flashing.
PHASE FAILURE
Il V3 01N detects the phase failure
basing on the principle that the
amplitude and the phase of the “back
voltage” are not equal to the phase and
the amplitude of the mains voltage.
By back voltage it is intended the
voltage generated by the motor and
appearing on the wire - motor side -
after the phase has been interrupted or
the wire has broken.
VISUALIZATIONS
ON GREEN LED: supply on
AM, Am RED LED: VM or Vm has
been overcome; the led
flashes, after the time T
the led is ON.
L1,2,3 YELLOW LED: it lights on
when the phase sequence is
L1, L2, L3; it is Off with the
different sequence.
RESET: automatic.
MODE OF OPERATION
With the regulations on the front it is
possible to fix one set point MAX and
one set point MIN in order to have a
control band.
The set points and the phase
sequence (L1, L2, L3) are connected
to the same output relay.
The output relay is normally on and it
goes off when the voltage goes out of
the fixed band (both above VM or
under Vm), or when the phase
sequence is not L1, L2, L3. When the
phase sequence is L1, L2, L3, the
output relay is ON and the yellow LED
is ON.
When a phase fails the relay is off; the
V3-01N is self supplied from 2 phases,
if one on these fails the leds are off or
partially turned on (in presence of the
“back voltage”); if the 3rd phase fails
the yellow led flashes and Am is ON.
POSITIVE SAFETY
The relay is normally ON and it goes
OFF when it is in alarm.
INSTALLATION
The setup of the thresholds VM and
Vm and the tripping time TM are made
by trimmers on the front of the device.
(Wiring to an electrical board with a
differential relay and a sectionalizing
switch).
The length of every wiring must be less
than 30m.

If the pins are not connected in the
order L1, L2, L3, the device will be in
alarm. It is requested that the pins 5-3-
1 correspond to the phases L1, L2, L3.
The YELLOW LED must be ON.

FUNCTION
The voltage relay V3 01N monitors the
overvoltage (VM) and the undervoltage
(Vm) and the phase sequence L1, L2,
L3 in an alternating three phase mains.
Adjustment range +20% -20% of the
nominal voltage.
